Instrument Ground School
The Instrument Ground School consists of all the components necessary, not only to grasp what is needed for the Transport Canada instrument written examination (INRAT), but offers practical and useful information for flying under IFR.
The course covers the required topics which include: CARs, IFR rules and procedures, meteorology, instruments, radio & radar systems, and navigation. It is currently being instructed by a pilot who flies for Ken Borek Air. This allows you to learn from someone who is actually operating in an IFR environment on a daily basis.
By the end you will be prepared for the INRAT, which consists of 50 questions and requires a minimum pass mark of 70%.
The Instrument Ground School Course is offered on a student need basis. Please contact the club for details on scheduling.
